English Literature - Bible proverbs

As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his folly

As a man thinks in his heart, so is he

As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country

Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding

He that makes haste to be rich shall not be innocent

He that spares his rod hates his son

Like a lame man's legs that hang limp is a proverb in the mouth of a fool
